Valeria Plame serenaded by The Decembrists

This is too funny. Valerie Plame, the former CIA operative whose identity was revealed by Robert Novak and other officials in the Bush administration, is the topic of a new song by rock band The Decembrists, reports Editor and Publisher.

I found a video of the song on YouTube. Watch it here:

The song is quite catchy. I have to say my favorite part is:

Dear Valerie Plame
I’ll look for that long exchange
Outside of the Bureau Change
In Shanghai

But I was just some stupid boy on a bus
When your nom de guerre was Codename Caroline

The revealing of Plame’s identification created a firestorm around journalists giving up their anonymous sources. Most notably, New York Times reporter Judith Miller served jail time for not revealing her sources’ names.
