Editor and Publisher is holding an open debate on if the NYT is treating the Boston Globe fairly. Readers are invited to discuss this question. You don’t even have to register to add your thoughts.
After the Boston Globe guild voted down concessions, narrowly, on Monday, 277-265, the NYT Co. declared it would enforce its promised 23% cuts. Was this fair? And what about threatening to close down the paper? Are the cutbacks fully necessary or are they being mandated unfairly? Who’s really to blame here?
Can’t wait to read the comments, maybe even add my own.
